A 2022 national analysis found that 84% of states which adopted permitless concealed carry laws - similar to Arizona’s - experienced a drop in violent crime in the following year. Today, 83% of those states report violent crime rates at or below the national average.
Arizona reflects that trend. In our rural and suburban communities where responsible gun ownership is embraced and supported by training, violent crime rates remain significantly lower than in cities with strict gun control laws like Chicago or Washington D.C.
