So Who Are We?
Just the Nelson's. But here is a little more detail:
The first thing you need to know about Dustin is his passion for missions. Dustin has been on mission trips all around the world spreading the gospel. He has lead dirt bike tours through the jungles to provide resources and love for those who couldn't reach them. He has a passion for teaching children skills that will give them a future. Teaching them to view their hands as tools and give them skills for success. He is passionate about raising up future men to provide and protect their families. Dustin grew up in his father's mechanic shop and knows just about everything about cars and trucks. He graduated top of his class at MMI with Harley Davidson and Yamaha specialties, and he worked at Harley Davidson for years. He can fix it. Whatever it is. Dustin has been an electrician for 10+ years. He is a licensed electrician and owns the Power Ranger. He took a break for a few years though, to serve security at the school where his wife worked as a teacher and his kids attended. (We are just a little passionate about keeping kids safe). He Is NRA and RSO certified and is ridiculously good with firearms. He has been gifted with teaching for sure.
Katie grew up in a military home, her father is a retired Brigadier General. He taught Katie to fish and hunt at a young age. She loved archery early on and considered going into competitive archery for a while. She first received her associate in business and realized very quickly that business was not what she wanted to do - although it sure did help when she later formed her own apothecary business! She went back to school for education and obtained her early education certifications with endorsements in special needs and ELL. Katie loves curriculum and program development. She loves herbs and holistic family care. She opened her own diy apothecary company and for years she enjoyed teaching people how to use herbs and prepare their own products to help their families. Katie is currently in her Master's program at GCU for Educational Leadership. She won Teacher of the Year this year for Dream City Christian School in Scottsdale, and is excited to be moving into the new role of part teacher, part Instructional Coach for her fellow teachers next year. Katie is passionate about teaching women to feel comfortable and confident with firearms, and how to realistically provide safety for their families. Katie is passionate about keeping children safe, in every aspect of life. She is a certified NRA RSO. She is passionate about teachers defending their students. Katie is a board member with the AZcdlf, she serves as Secretary for the Foundation, and is the teacher representative for AZ. She helps with the AZ FASTER Saves Lives training organization, training school faculty in all aspects of providing protection during a crisis situation.
